Carson's Science Project

Carson's class all did science projects.  So Carson decided to grow sugar crystals.  It look a long time and was tough to document.

So we choose to measure the strength of the different types of tape we had in the garage.  We taped a loop of fishing line to a cooking scale with a 1" square piece of the tape.  Then placed a weight on the scale and measured the difference between the starting weight and the weight at the moment the tape pulled off of the scale.

We forgot to take a picture of it before taking it to school, so it was a little beat up by the time it came home.

I know you're dying to know the winner: Scotch Tough Extreme Hold Duct Tape.

Oh yeah, it was a FUN RUN

Mt. Bethel Elementary had a Fun Run a couple of weeks ago. There were half-mile, 1-mile and 5K runs, and Carson and Tucker ran the 1-mile.

They each got a medal for participation, along with their Fun Run t-shirts. They did a good job running and keeping up. The school gave out trophies to kids who finished first, second, third, etc.
Way to go, Carson and Tucker!

Pumpkin Carvin' (finally)

What do you know, we finally get around to carving a pumpkin - on November 2

Notice how it all looks like the same pumpkin? It is; each picture is of each artist's carving (on each side of the same pumpkin). We're in the pantry cause it's dark in there.
