We drove down to Bishop, CA to look at a car for sale and ended up seeing lots of other things. This is a bakery in Bishop with a cool old bakery truck in front.
We wanted to go inside and see what bakery items they had, but they weren't letting in too many people; there was a line of people just to get inside and look around, so we left.
We drove a little south of Bishop and saw a Japanese Internment campsite at the "Manzanar War Relocation Center"
They had an auto tour to see the layout of the camp - it was basically a town; there were farms, gardens, baseball fields, a post office, a town hall, etc. There were signs indicating that there had been living quarters there at one time, it was a large area. You can see a basketball court below.
Then we drove a little further south to Lone Pine, a small town at the base of Mt. Whitney, pictured here.
There's this Hallmark Christmas movie we have watched for years now, it's not like, my favorite movie or anything, but I noticed this general store with the white horse shown in the movie. They call the town 'Pine Gap' in the movie and you can see this horse when a guy is walking down the street and enters this store, below a big white horse with the name 'Frosty' on the side.
We had driven down here years ago before we moved to Georgia and had seen the horse then, so this time we drove a little extra so that I could get a picture under Frosty like it shows in the movie.
I told the kids to go away so I could have a picture by myself.
The store is now out of business. We looked inside and saw a lot of merchandise still in there, but it's obviously closed down.
This is the movie I'm referring to:

These pictures are from last to first, but oh well. Carson sat outside during the trick or treat rush.
We went over to Beth and Norman's house the night before Halloween.
Grandma Knight showing us how the apple peeler works.
We went over to Grandma's house the night before Halloween, she had full-size treats!
You can kind of see that Savannah is holding a microphone - she is supposed to be a popstar, and Tucker is a mad scientist.
"Let's knock on the door together, Savannah!"
We changed the our driveway house lights to be Halloween colors.
You can see the badges he made and attached to his lab coat to help his costume look more authentic.
Tucker wanted to do a surface carving.
