Home of the Brave(s)

Wow!  How often do you get a first row seat at a major league baseball game?!?  I've been in Atlanta, GA for a few days for a trade show for a side business that I've been working on.  Last night a company treated me and one of my business partners to a steak at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.  Then tonight my business parter bought us tickets to the Braves game.  Even though the Marlins destroyed the Braves, it was a fun game.

We actually had fifth row seats, but a quick two minute rain storm cleared out much of the stadium, leaving the first row empty for us to enjoy.

Unfortunately, my time was booked up too much to get to see Andrea and Brent, but it's been an educational conference.

Gettin' Big

I included both sides of me, cause I seem to look smaller in the lower picture.....

Keith caught me in an excited moment. I'm just so happy to be getting bigger and more uncomfortable everyday!

Smoke or Clouds?

You be the judge, are these pictures of smoke, or clouds? Don't really know for sure, but it looked really cool the other day, with the rainbow in the sky.

A Bad Seed: The Cashew 'Nut'

Did you know that cashews are technically seeds? "Although a nut in the culinary sense, in the botanical sense the nut of the cashew is a seed.", says Wikipedia. Thought I'd enlighten you on that little bit of information, so you could understand my title for this post. Another child brought some cashews into nursery on Sunday during church, and Tucker either ate some or touched some, we don't know. This is how he looked hours after church was over.

That last picture is to show what he normally looks like! His eyes puffed up pretty bad, and he was just majorly irritated. We gave him various doses of benedryl, and the swelling eventually went down and he's all better. It's miserable seeing your kid all miserable. Now we know he has the same allergy as Carson.

Getting ready for baby

Here is the new baby quilt Joanna helped me put together in just this past week. All I did was go buy the fabric (isn't it the cutest?) and Joanna cut the pieces and sewed them together and quilted it. (She quilted it so beautifully, it has that nice, wrinkled look). She showed me how to finish off the binding yesterday and I stayed up late sewing the purple edge by hand. The fingertips on my right hand are a little sore from being pricked over and over again. It was my first time ever binding up a quilt. It wasn't as hard as I thought, and it took me a little over two hours. So now we have a beautiful, hand-sewn quilt for the baby. I LOVE the stripes, and I love how I've never seen anything like it. Thank you so much, Joanna!

Buddy Bear

Buddy Bear is somewhat of a mascot in Carson's kindergarten class. Everyday in the first month, it is given out to a new student who shows he/she has good manners and pays attention in class. Then they take the bear home that day and 'have adventures' with him, then bring him back to class the next day. Carson got to take him home last week, for behaving so well during class. These are a few of the pictures of the 'adventures' Carson had with Buddy Bear. Yay, Carson for being a good boy!
