Nicole and her boys came to visit this week, and she taught a couple of art classes while she was here.
The kids got to do an under-the-sea clay sculpture class.

That night, she taught a painting class.
She directed us in blending our colors and took us step-by-step through the layers of the picture, starting with the sky, then the clouds, then the ocean.
You can see the example painting in the background of this picture with Nan painting.
.....then we added waves (difficult) and a sandy beach and then the palm trees. It was not as hard as I thought it might be, it was doable and fun to learn how to create the painting.
