New house in La Fortuna, Costa Rica

The 'Peter Pan House' didn't suit us. We moved out early and got a different rental in northern Costa Rica near the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna.

This is us driving down our driveway, Tucker and Savannah are opening the gate for us before we go to the store.

This house is a lot more of what we wanted. It has lots of covered outdoor seating and living space.

There are hammocks.

This area is open on two sides, so we can catch a breeze.

This house must have been built recently, everything is new.

This is the clothes washer (lavadora) I have to figure out how to use. You put your clothes in on the left side, fill it with water, add soap, then it agitates. Then you put the wet clothes in the spinner on the right for a few minutes. Then you can hang clothes out to dry or put them in the dryer.

The mountain on the far right is the volcano. The top has always been covered with clouds since we got there. La Fortuna is a nice town, very touristy. Lots of souvenir shops and restaurants. It is close to the base of the volcano. We are happier here, it's a more comfortable house and community. It's a rural farming community, so we see lots of cows, dogs, cats and goats.  The cows here are mostly Brahman.
